Things I love this Week

The Choice: Embrace the Possible by Edith Eger This book marries my love for personal narratives of triumph and growth with a very empowered approach to healing from deeply traumatic events. In my work, I strive to know myself
and to help women embrace that there are more options available to them for interpreting events and happenings than we perceive. Eger, at 90 (I love that too) shows a path toward healing which does not deny or suppress our hurts, yet leads us beyond them.
The Morning Fog
*Turmeric Booster
*After only a week of drinking this daily, I feel and notice the difference in my body. I use fresh turmeric for this one since it is less bitter than powdered turmeric. The black pepper is essential and does not make the elixir spicy. Black pepper assist the body’s absorption of curcumin - the active ingredient in turmeric
Recipe:
Grate one knob of turmeric. Simmer in 4 cups of water with a healthy pinch to ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
Strain the elixir. Add the juice of one orange and one lemon. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. You can enjoy this hot or cold. Cold is my favorite with the heat.
