- Tune into yourself above all others. During your pregnancy and recovery you are the most important person in your world. I say you because you are the one co-creating this baby with the Universe and your wellbeing determines everything for you AND the baby. Listen to your voice, your body, your intuition. When something feels off, investigate it. When you feel aversions to particular things or people, listen. When your body says it needs attention, place your attention within.
- Focus on what you are, what you can do, and what you want. You are building a positive, empowered environment for yourself and your child. Begin this by beginning to edit out sentences that begin: I am not, I can’t, or I don’t have.
- Slow down more than you think you need to now. We tend to overestimate our energy up until the point we are running on fumes. During pregnancy, and especially postpartum, you want to slow down and then slow down some more. Nothing that is optional is as important as your rest, recuperation, and recovery.
